On the Move: Catch Our Team at the 11th Annual Tinley Chamber Bag Crawl!
The Southside Comic Book Show is taking our game to the streets! On Sunday, May 17, our staff will be participating in the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce Bag Crawl. We’ll be competing (and promoting!) at all seven stops along Oak Park Avenue, from the kickoff at Banging Gavel to the final prizes at SIP Wine Bar. Look for our team at local staples like Ed & Joe’s, the Bremen VFW, Durbin’s, Still Ride Bike Shop, and the Harald Viking Lodge. We’re excited to support the Chamber, meet local business owners, and get everyone hyped for our big show on June 20. If you see us at a tourney stop, come say hi—we might even have some show swag to hand out between tosses!

We are thrilled to announce that the Southside Comic Book Show will have a featured booth at the annual Tinley Park Art & Garden Market on Saturday, May 9! While you're shopping for the perfect Mother's Day gift among the flowers and fine art, come say hello to our team at Harmony Square. We’ll be there from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. sharing exclusive updates about our upcoming show at the Tinley Park Convention Center on June 20. It’s a fantastic day of local music, food from favorites like Ricobenes, and community fun—stop by our booth to talk shop, grab some promotional gear, and see why it’s never too early to get excited for the best comic book event of the summer!

The sun was out, the energy was high, and we had an absolute blast rolling through downtown Tinley Park for the annual Irish Parade! It was the perfect way to kick off the season "Tinley-style," and we loved seeing so many of you lining the route.
Our team had a great time spreading the word about SSCBS 2026, handing out flyers, and bringing some serious comic book energy to the festivities. Whether you waved, cheered, or stopped to snap a photo with our floats, thank you for making us feel so welcome. We’re officially counting down the days until we see you all again at the Convention Center on June 20!

We’re proud to support Park Lawn Association’s “Turning the Page Gala” on March 7th — an inspiring evening dedicated to building opportunity, inclusion, and community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This special event helps fund meaningful programs that make a real difference in people’s lives. We’ve donated a comic-themed raffle basket featuring posters, comics, and tickets to the Southside Comic Book Show to contribute to the celebration. If you’d like to support this incredible cause, you can attend the gala or make a donation and help “turn the page” toward a brighter future.
